Breaking Down My Drawing Skills:

Here are some of my drawings, explaining what I think I'm good at, and what I know I'm not, also including what I like to draw, some of my favorite drawings, and some "Then and Now" art. I've been drawing for about four? five? I don't really know how many years, haha. But I am thinking of starting an Etsy sometime soon.

By the way, all the blogs I read, the girls who write them always say "AND OH MY GOOOODNESS, I AM LISTENING TO MUSIC WHILE I WRITE, IT MAKES  ME SO CREATIVE, I'M NOW WRITING SO GOOD I CAN TASTE IT", and so I decided to listen to music while I wrote, and I'm sorry, but I can't. The music is so pretty, I have to stop writing to listen to it. If you have music on, you have to listen to it and do nothing else, that's just how it is. No writing when the music's back is turned. Just listen.
Anyway. Read this, and if you are listening to music as you do so, either pause the music until you are done, or stop reading. Thanks. WHAT ARE YOU DOING GOING TO YOUTUBE JUST BECAUSE I SAID NOT TO, GET BACK HERE. TURN THAT MUSIC OFF.

Ahem.

Things I can draw fairly well:

1: Eyes I LOVE drawing eyes. Ever since I was eight and didn't even draw yet, I would still pick up a pencil whenever I was bored, and draw an outrageous eye. Honestly, you don't even really want to see it. But now I have made you curious, and so I may one day be nice and show you. But it is not this day. So for now, I will show you one I have done a 'right good job on', that will validate my statement saying I can do so.

This was done on my math page.
2: Hair Hair is something that I don't really enjoy or hate, I just do it, and it turns out fairly decent, I am told. I don't do any definition in it for my style, but I do if I am doing a realistic portrait (something I haven't done for a good long while, for no reason other than the fact that  I just haven't).

Cartoon hair...

(And apparently this is the best realistic hair I've done, per what I've been told.)

3: Profiles I don't know why I don't enjoy doing full face drawings as much as profile ones, but I think it's because drawing one long swoop for both the forehead and nose is fun, and you can show the hair to a better advantage, as well.

Lots of hair.

4: Animals, sort of I had never even tried drawing animals before my Aunt's baby shower last month. But then I had to draw a lot of elephants, and found out I was okay at it, haha. I'm not posting the elephants today, but here are some other animals that I have drawn lately:

I actually used Shere Khan for this
Actually, wait, here is a sneak peak of the elephant:

5: Faces, I think, maybe I love drawing faces, but I know I have a lot to learn. Still, I think they're fair enough, haha.

Things I can't draw very well:

1: HANDS You can't do hands good either, can you? You can't. No one can.

CIRCLES
2: Feet.  You can't do those, either. (See above for picture of how I escape drawing feet)

3: Necks.  I don't know what it is with necks, but I just cannot draw them. I have tried. I have read tutorials, I have filled pages with just necks, trying to get the hang of it, but I cannot draw them. Necks or shoulders. If you have any tips, gi'mme.
The neck's like "whomp" and the shoulders are like "pmohw<<< which is "whomp" backwards

4: Clothes Maybe because I haven't practiced, but I'm really terrible at drawing clothes. In fact, this is the best I have ever done:

And I will not show you the worst.

Things I have learned this last year:

1. Animation Something I have always wanted to do, but I had no idea how to make gifs, until I found gifmaker.me. I have only done four so far, here's the last one I've done:

2. Eye placement Just drawing guidelines does not work for me. I learned to just draw a circle in the middle of the head, and then put the eye on the bottom line of it. Example:

Without circle, the eye is wayyyyy up there, and too close to her forehead/nose.

Add the circle, and she looks like a human. Even though this is not the same girl.

Things I need to work on:

 1. Drawing with inks  I had no idea how to do this, so when I tried to do Inktober for the first  time last year, I had to give up on the second day. The second one. October 2nd. I did one day. Here they are, here are all my drawings from Inktober. Prepare to scroll for a long time as you look at all the drawings I did for a thirty-one day challenge....

Shufph, there's just so MANY of them! *wipes brow*

2. Painting with acrylics. I have no pictures for this, because I never paint with acrylics.

I told you I didn't have a picture, stop waiting for it to load.

Art progress in one year:

And now I will tell you who my favorite artists are, but not in this post, as it is too long.

I am still mad at you for listening to music while you read this.

Sneak Peek of Something I've Working On...

This is I've something been working on for the past few days for my Aunt's baby shower. I'm drawing three different pictures of the same elephant. Maybe. It's also in watercolor, so I have been learning a lot about that medium. I'll share the whole set with you guys when I'm finished!!!

How To Draw: Queen Elsa From Disney's Frozen

This is the first tutorial I have done on this new blog, if you find it helpful, feel free to comment and share your drawing!

Start with drawing a circle with guidelines. It doesn't have to be perfect, as it will be erased later.

Draw her neck and shoulders. Her collar is the letter "V" and each of her shoulders could be "S''

Draw two circles for her clasp, two commas for her fringe and two lines for her arms.

Square off her cheeks and jaw, draw the outlines for her hair.

 Erase guidelines for  head shape.

Her bangs are also commas, draw five of them going to the right.

Draw leaf shapes for her eyes, then two circles for her irises, two circles for her pupils, and two half moons for the catch-lights.

Draw the outline of her eyelashes, the beginning of her nose, and her eyebrows. She's worried, so make sure her eyebrows are tilted up.

Her nose is two parentheses, with two commas for her nostrils.

Her mouth is turned down, with a squished "M" for an upper lip, and a stretched "U" for a lower lip. Cliche, I know, but that's all I could come up with, XD.

I think her crown makes it look like she has a buck's ears and antlers! But maybe that's just me. Anyway, the middle is two diamonds.

Draw the designs on her dress, and you're done! You can stop here, or go on to coloring...

Color in her pupils and eyelashes with a black pencil. I know she looks like a raccoon right now, but that won't be quite as noticeable when we are done.

Her eyebrows are a light brown.

Her clasp, eyes and jewel in her crown, are all done with the same blue. Don't forget the highlights!

Her clasp and crown are both gold.

Color her cape and every other design on her dress with the same pink. Color her lips a light pink, as well.

Draw her fringe a purplish pink.

Draw the rest of the designs on her dress blue. (Which I had forgotten until now, :D)

Color in her face with a peach pencil, if you want, you can lightly shade with a brown pencil, as I did here.

Color her dress black.

Color in her hair with a light yellow pencil. Annnd, I forgot her ears, so do those, too, ;).

Put brown streaks through her hair.....

And Ta-da!!! You are completely done! I hope this helped!!!
